O Allah, help our brothers and sisters all over the globe. O Allah, have mercy on those who have passed. Heal the sick. Help the needy. Feed the hungry. Clothe the destitute. Lift up the oppressed. Make firm their feet. Strengthen their resolve. Increase them in faith.
Help them. O Allah help them. O Allah, they have no helper other than You. And You are the Best Protector and the Best Supporter. O Allah, You are more Merciful to them than us. So have mercy on them. And forgive us. Accept from us. And join us with them, and those who You love, in Your Gardens of Peace.
“As long as You do not deny me
from being here
as long as you do not prevent me
from worshipping You
my heart can bear anything
but Your distance
and it was I who walked away, I admit
but You have always been guiding me
calling me back
loved and lost
forgotten and strayed
erred and sinned
stumbled and fell
found and forgiven
guided and raised
loved and restored
given a chance
Say: “O My servants who have transgressed against their own selves. Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
On your way Home, always be mindful of Allah. For taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) is ever a great provision for a journey (al-Baqarah 2:197). Be determined. Expect to stumble but never stop walking upon the Straight Path. Allah says in a hadith qudsi, “I am just as My slave thinks I am and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him, and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.” (al-Bukhari 7405)
Carry with you a lot of love. Anas narrated that a bedouin man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him; pbuh) about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, “When will the Hour be?” The Prophet (pbuh) said, “What have you prepared for it?” The man said, “Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Apostle.” The Prophet (pbuh) said, “You will be with those whom you love.” We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e. “You will be with those whom you love.”) Anas continued to say, “Therefore, I love the Prophet, Abu Bakr and `Umar, and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.” (al-Bukhari 3688, Muslim 2639)
Wealth is contentment of the heart. Wealth is abundant knowledge and good deeds. Wealth is tasting the sweetness of imaan. Wealth is family. Wealth is to be able to provide for loved ones, to be able to give charity and give to society.
It is written
The pen has been lifted
And the ink has dried
Ask and He will give.
Ask Him to forgive.
For we need to be forgiven.
For all the chances we were given.
For all the time we threw away.
For all the sins that we’ve committed.
And the instances we went astray.
Ask and He will forgive.
For He is the Most Forgiving,
Oft-Forgiving, Repeatedly Forgiving.
He is the One who pardons.
Who overlooks our shortcomings, our mistakes.
Who would choose punishment,
over a Most Merciful Lord?
Turn back to Him.
Ask Him to forgive.
Make a promise.
Follow a bad deed with a good deed,
and it will wipe it out.
As though the sin was never there.
And what remains
is only good.
We ask that You keep us faithful
In Your service and
in the service of Your creation
That You keep us patient
In good times and in times
that are challenging
That You help us to be grateful
And to put our trust in You
where we cannot grasp Your Wisdom
So take my hand, walk with me
Upon the Straight Path tread with me
Cover me, counsel me
And when I err, forgive me
Hasten with me, compete with me
Towards good deeds race with me
Let our feet bear witness of our journey
A journey that leads to a Beautiful Destination
So march forth with determination
And don’t you rest,
till you reach the place of Eternal Rest.
